A flock of about 15 cedar waxwings flew into our backyard this evening and started gleaning what I assume were small insects or larvae from the emerging leaves on the walnut trees, then moved into the locust trees.  They're the first waxwings I've seen here for a couple years.  When we lived in Florida, hundreds of waxwings filled our cherry laurel trees every April, and they'd stay for weeks until the tasty fruits were gone.
