A female rufous hummingbird was actively visiting a feeder all day today (Sunday) at a cabin near Amsterdam in Jefferson County (DeLorme 63 A-4). The bird was also observed on Saturday. Unfortunately, I cannot provide directions or give permission to access the site as I was only a guest of a guest. We left the four feeders full this evening, but as far as I know the property will be vacant until next weekend.
Also visited Secrest Arboretum near Wooster this weekend. Red-breasted nuthatches (4-6?) were quite vocal and active.
