Butch Rockwell and I found the Eared Grebe with a helpful hint from Eric Elvert. The bird was seen in the company of three Horned Grebes, and was distinctly different. Found at the far west end of the lake, the bird showed dirty cheek, sloping forehead and smaller general size than the nearby horned Grebes. We dipped on the Pelican at Vet's park, but did see the LBBG.

Good luck birding,
      Mike
