The Columbus Audubon trip to Scioto MetroPark and Greenlawn Cemetery was treated to good weather and a steady stream of neotropical migrants this morning.  The weather stayed cloudy most of the time, keeping the temperature moderate and the birds active.  There was no huge fallout, but a good diversity of birds that totalled out at 74 species in 4 hours.  Highlights included:

Raptors - Osprey (on nest), Cooper's Hawk, Kestrel
Herons - 2 Green Herons (Scioto wetlands), 2 Great Egrets (Scioto flyovers), 4-5 Great Blue Herons
Shorebirds - Kildeer, Solitary & Spotted Sandpipers
Cuckoos - good looks at a singing Black-billed Cuckoo south of the Ravine in Greenlawn Cemetery
Flycatchers - highlihgt was an Olive-sided in a snag by the Ravine, but also had WoodPewees, E.Phoebe, Willow FLycatcher (wetlands in Scioto), Great Crested (several areas), E.Kingbird (heard at Scioto)

Swallows - good looks at Tree, Rough-winged, Barn, and Cliff
Vireos - 8-10 singing Warbling along bikepath at Scioto; 2-3 singing Red-eyed at the Cemetery
Wrens,Gnatcatchers - still plenty of House Wrens and Blue-gray Gnatcatchers
Thrushes - heard Wood Thrush at Scioto, and saw 3-4 Swainsons south of Ravine at Cemetery
Mimids - loads of Catbirds at Scioto, as well as a pair of Brown Thrashers
Cedar Waxwings - a flock of 15 was around the Pit at the Cemetery
Warblers - Tennessee (3), Magnolia (2), Chesnut-sided, Yellow (6+), Black-thr.Green (3 cemetery), Yellow-throated (both river & Cemetery), Yellow-rumped (15+, still most common), Palm (3), Blackpolls (3), Prothonotary (2 along bikepath at Scioto), Ovenbird, ComYellowthroat

Tanagers,Grosbeaks,Buntings - Scarlet Tanager (1 at Cemetery), Rose-br.Grosbeak (6+ at Scioto, 2 at Cemtery), Indigo Buntings (4 at Scioto)

Sparrows - little other than the expected Song & Chipping
Orioles - loads of Baltimores (15-18) at Scioto, along with one male Orchard Oriole on territory north of Grange Center
Finches - lots of Goldfinches, but we also heard a Pine Siskin at Greenlawn Cemetery
