I volunteered to check an area down here at dusk. I wasn’t expecting much, but
You never know! Alas - zilch. That surprised me. No gulls. I guess they go elsewhere
To roost. That’s why getting out and checking is important! And what a gorgeous
Night! 60 degrees! Highlights were over 100 Coot. And a blue phase Snow Goose
Came in with Canadas as I was leaving. Shovelers, lesser scaup, mallards, gadwall.
It looks like I am going to travel east. Hopefully the special bird sticks! I have
Maps and directions sent from friends. If anyone is trying for the bird, and need
Info, I can forward stuff. The red flanked bluetail. I won’t leave til Sunday at noon
Or so. Get there mid morning Monday. And if the bird disappears, plan b. Bird
Those two remaining counties in SE Ohio I haven’t hit yet. Or plan c. Head up
To NE Ohio - gulls up there! I have blocked the time out, so will use it!
Good birding all.
