Cruising across/around Grand Lake St Marys today while checking duck blinds,
we observed the following:
CAGO (MANY, MANY !!! Hunters should be pleased)
Mallards - again a goodly number
OSPREY 2 Still hanging around
Bald Eagle 2 adult & 5-6 immature
Tree Swallows cruising across the waves
Bluewing Teal
Greenwing Teal
WHITE PELICAN 1 (Hey Buddy, what are you doin here?)
Great Egrets 6
Great Blue Herons XXX
Meadow larks
Redtail Hawk
Coot 6
Double Crested Cormorants (More than Mallards!!)
Monarchs (Oh, sorry, that's another "list")
Killdeer XXXXX
Willet
Semi-P Sandpipers
And a LARGE Hornets nest!!

Just a reminder to Birders, the waterfowl hunting season is about to begin -
please be careful when out and about.
