I biked around much of this south Columbus Metropark before the storm line hit (around 11 this morning). Like the prior days, there wasn't any great push of migrants -- perhaps the changing weather has stalled movement -- but there was a good mix of birds. The Confluence area was surprisingly quiet, but Heron Pond had some migrants. Water in most of the ponds was too high for shorebirds or herons; no telling now when they will dry down this Fall. Highlights this morning included

Broad-winged Hawk - these little buteos are rare around here, so a calling one soaring over Madison Mills was noteworthy
Turkey Vultures - a straggling roost of 36 birds was strung along the creek between Heron Pond & Madison Mills
Chimney Swifts - a large flock of 80+ was foraging over the Confluence area early, with smaller #s at other locations
Flycatchers - Pewees were still widespread and calling, while Confluence had calling Great Cresteds
Vireos - 3+ Warbling were singing at the Borrow Pits area, while another 2 were at Heron Pond. 2 Red-eyed were along the Confluence Trail
Swallows - a flock of 75+ Rough-wings swirling over Heron Pond was very impressive. Barn Swallows were scattered in 1s and 2s
Thrushes - lots of Robins, but hardly anything else except a single Swainson's in the forests of the Confluence area.
Cedar Waxwings - small flocks were in several areas, with the largest being 20+ near Heron Pond
Warblers - only Heron Pond was enough of a migrant funnel to show a few: Cape May, Chesnut-sided, Blackburnian, C.Yellowthroats
Bobolinks - flyovers were at Confluence (6) and the Borrow Pits (2).
Others - a Scarlet Tanager and a Baltimore Oriole were around the Confluence area, while Indigo Buntings were at Heron Pond & Smith Farms
