Forgot I had heard La Waterthrush as well at Blackhand a Gorge this AM.

Apologies if not appropriate for the listserve but can anyone enlighten me as to why my dozen or so Am Goldfinches, after devouring bags of thistle seed all winter at my feeders, now rarely show up (& just as they had completed molting to their brilliant yellow plumage)? Abundant food supply in the wild?

I just moved to Granville so I don’t have a full year of birdfeeder history yet.

Pls reply off list as many on the list may not be interested.

Thx,

Peggy Wang
