For folks who are thinking ahead about seeing how many birds one can count in January in Ohio for 2011, I'd like to recommend participating in the Kingston CBC, which is always January 1st and a good way to kick off your list while participating in some fine citizen-science!

This is my first time posting here and my first time trying to see how many birds I could count for January. I only had 26 for Ohio. I'll try harder to beat that next year (won't be too hard, that is a low #).
I tried for the Short-eared Owl at Frohring Meadows, but no luck for me. Was hoping that I could see a loon but none of those either.
