Sorry for the late post, but I saw my FOS winter finches in central Ohio
this past Sunday. In the morning, there was a Purple Finch in a tree along
the spillway below Hoover Dam in NE Columbus. Later in the afternoon, my
wife & I heard a Pine SIskin while hiking around Glen Helen Preserve, by
Yellow Springs east of Dayton. Specifically, it was along the Fire Road
near the Pine Plantation in the northeast part of the preserve. No
Red-br.Nuthatches or Crossbills yet, but the colder weather should push
them into the area very soon.
