Migrants were numerous this morning in Wendy Park - tho gusty winds not ideal: Song Sparrows in 100’s, Fox, Savannah & Swamp also. Eastern Phoebe, Hermit Thrush, & at least 6 Yellow-Bellied Sapsuckers. Constant flow of Turkey Vultures overhead W-E.

Distressing to see were dead male American Robin & female Red-breasted Merganser ensnared in volleyball nets. Perhaps MetroParks should lower these giant mist nets when not in use so not to be inadvertently complicit in deaths of migrant birds.
