Nancy Anderson just called to report that the WHIMBREL is still present along the beach at Huron Municipal Pier (west side of the pier). The bird walks around the scruffy area bordering the actual beach quite a bit, and can nearly disappear in the vegetation and ruts here - so check carefully! This bird has provided a unique opportunity for study at leisure, as Whimbrels are characteristically wary, nor do they stick around for more than one day, let alone five whole minutes often.

Good birding -
Gabe Leidy
