I stopped by Antrim Park on the way home from work this evening. On the
lake were two red-throated loons, a horned grebe, a ruddy duck, numerous
red-breasted mergansers, and numerous mallards.

The flood waters had receded enough for me to get down to the river (but
not without getting mud on my shoes). On the river I saw a number of
mallards, a great blue heron, and a kingfisher. The highlight, though,
was a pair of golden-crowned kinglets flying around in the bushes down by
the river.

In the trees between the parking lot and the freeway were two rusty
blackbirds.
