I did a quick check of several spots along the Scioto river around Columbus, starting with Haul & Hart Rds, then north to Scioto Audubon, COnfluence Park, Grandview, and Marble Cliff. Despite the beautiful morning, early migrants were no much in evidence, save for some diving ducks. Notables included:

Ring-necked Ducks - small flocks at several locations, topped by 14 at Hart Rd quarry
Redhead - 1 large flock of over 200 birds on Watermark Lake
Bufflehead - 5 on Watermark Lake
Hooded Mergansers - pairs in several locations
Mute Swans - 2 at Haul Rd, and 1 in the river at Scioto Audubon
cormorants - 6 at Scioto Audubon; another 1 at Haul Rd
Killdeer - 1-2 at several spots; no other shorebirds
Golden-cr.Kinglets - small numbers in riparian woods at Scioto Audubon and Marble Cliff
Tree Sparrow - 1 still lingering around Hart Rd
Swamp Sparrow - 1 was still in the phragmites marsh at Haul Rd
blackbirds - Red-wings widespread; grackle flock at Scioto Audubon
