Heading says it all:
1 Merlin today at Glen Rest Cemetery in Reynoldsburg.
I've been watching there all winter (as I drive by on Main Street, with occasional forays into the cemetery), to no avail. I came to the conclusion just the other day that Merlins had passed by Glen Rest this winter. Today I was on my way home from a successful trip to see the Wheatear when lo and behold a Merlin swooped across Main Street to the north side and perched on top of a telephone pole. I was able to turn off to the north side, and the bird immediately flew back across the street, to the cemetery. So I crossed over and was able to get a pretty good view and a few pics--not very good, because he was pretty well concealed in the branches. At any rate--a nice end to my Wheatear outing!
