I went exploring more for shorebird habitat than anything. We still have areas
Down here. But that rain has flooded a lot of our usual spots! Of course, the
Little Blue hasn’t been reported from Fernald today. Yet…! I was in Scioto county
On a butterfly trip yesterday when it showed up. Of course….. that would be
A county bird for me! I had Foy yellow warbler, Sora, common yellowthroat, and
Warbling vireo. This was all in the Ellis wetlands and bike path area. There
Actually is still some marsh habitat left at Ellis. For now….. hopefully that
Continues. The Sora was calling from the marsh.
RFI - I'll be on the OOS trip to Shawnee Forest the last weekend in April.
Any thoughts on some good birding roads? Odes spots? Etc. there’s the
Route along Pond Lick rd. On the OOS site that I will probably do. I have
Friday all day there. And Thursday late afternoon. And most of Sunday!
Butterfly notes - 24 species yesterday on the butterfly trip. Wow! And 5
Today. That’s why we hit Shawnee Forest!
Yes, it’s looking like a good Red Admiral spring!
Good birding all.
Butterfly notes -
