I had to turn the car around and check out a large congregation of geese in
and around a pond at the intersection of US 33 and Valley Road (Township Hwy
241) in Auglaize County, east of Wapakoneta this afternoon. I was able to
count at least 68 Snow Geese and 23 Greater White-fronted Geese, 4 Cackling
Geese and 1 definite Ross's Goose. A pond further north on the west side of
Valley Road held many more geese, but it appeared they were all Canada.
