Birding was slow on a fall-like morning with nothing unusual and not even much singing. A doe with a v young fawn ran across the road as a I approached the reserve
I did not hear or see Prairie Warbler at Denison today altho I heard it Thursday evening. I’ve also discovered that some Blue-winged Warblers sing their dawn song in the late afternoon/early evening which is interesting. One late afternoon, I had one Blue-winged singing its normal bee-buzz song while another sang the dawn song.
I had hen Wood Ducks with ducklings at both locales. (Forgot to mention saw a pair of Wood Ducks off Wilderness Rd yesterday.)
