Hi all,
This is a belated report, but a resident of Crawford County just informed me that two Snowy Owls were in Crawford County, just northeast of Bucyrus, on the weekend of December 14/15. The specific locales were near the junction of State Rte. 96 and Biddle Road; and State Rte. 96 and State Rte. 98. These sites are about six miles apart, so chances are probably good that they were different birds.
Even though it's been a week since the sightings, if anyone is in the area it might be worth casting around to see if they're still present. This makes about 74 birds reported from 31 counties so far, by my reckoning.
