Greetings,

Part sad time for me today, My Gmom had suffered from Parkinson's for some time had passed away this week. So we were at her viewing today. She lived a long life and was a grand Grandparent.

While I was there I met up with a birder down here in Kentucky and we traded favorite spots. He was a close friend of My Gdad and had come to the viewing, My Gdad introduced me to him and he and I talked for a good ten minutes. They have two eagles nests down here and a small but soon to grow Heron Rookery. He also said that durring the summer the area is thick with Green Herons.

So while here, I'm going to a fish hatchery over by Cave Run Lake maybe tomorrow afternoon or on Sunday. He said that spring migration is not as heavy as fall but there are some good birds out there. Most of the birds come up from the west. He also said that he hasn't seen many warblers yet in the area but he said that they are coming. :-)

My employer let me have three days off so I spent yesterday birding over at Lazelle woods, Blendon, and Greenlawn. Saw the coopers hawk family at Lazelle and some wonderfully colored Bluebirds at both Lazelle and Blendon. I couldn't stay long enough to see the Woodcocks. I posted a pic of the Coopers here: http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s226/sjlarue/Birds/ .

Happy Birding and God bless.

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.
30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

(Matthew 10.29-31)
