The Greater White-fronted Goose discovered yesterday at the beach in nearby
Cowan Lake State Park was refound today on the mowed area near a decorative
lake on the Roberts estate in company with about 340 Canada Geese.  Click

Naturally, I scoured the park first to no avail.  In fact, I saw no geese of
any kind in the park, except for decoys.  Four duck blinds were active on
Cowan Lake and this level of use has a markedly depressive effect on
waterfowl numbers on the lake.  To make matters worse, Cowan was about 40%
iced over.

If you go to look for this bird, be aware that OH 730 is a busy highway.  It
is possible to get clear of the roadway, but one is still uncomfortably
exposed to fast traffic.  Use good sense.
