Hi,

I'm managing editor for Bird Watcher's Digest. I got a call this afternoon from
an elderly birder who is no longer ambulatory. He and his driver were in
Armleder Park near downtown Cincinnati earlier today, and they both saw an
unusual bird perched on top of a bluebird box. The bird was larger than a
bluebird, he said, and had a black head and gold breast. Otherwise it was black.
His best guess was an Audubon's oriole (although it sounds more like a Scott's
to me). He said he's been a serious birder for many years, and he's certain that
it wasn't a goldfinch, a Baltimore oriole, or anything else he's ever seen in
Ohio.

Since I live four hours away and had never previously heard of Armleder Park, is
there a Cincy-area birder who would visit this place today or tomorrow to check
it out and see if they see anything unusual?

If you go, thanks, and please let me know even if you don't find anything—and
especially if you do!
