I birded this Licking Cty spot near Newark this afternoon and was delighted to find my FOS Yellow-throated Warbler near the Holly area. Also had a Brown Thrasher.
At the Magnolia area, I picked up my FOS Prairie Warbler, first by song, then great looks when it landed at eye level quite close. Also had a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker and a Brown Creeper there. A BG Gnatcatcher was in the area as well.
At Dutch Fork, I had a pair of Blue-winged Teal and a flyover Osprey. Field Sparrows & Tree Swallows.
FYI, starting Monday, an entrance fee will be charged at the main arboretum or you can purchase a membership but in any case, entrance will no longer be donations requested only. They have several membership options.
