My birding started off to a great day hearing a Great Horned Owl around
7:00 am. Had the best luck to actually see it perched high in a beech
tree. "Ear" tufts silhouetted against the sky! Then he heard me knock my
binoculars against the window and off he flew! Gorgeous.

Luckier still later in the day to see either a large Sharp Shinned Hawk or
a Coopers Hawk. I think Coopers. Tough to tell - he only perched for 30
seconds before flying away.

Other birds at the feeder:
American Goldfinch
Mourning Dov
Northern Cardinal
Dark-eyed Junco
House Finch
Tufted Titmouse
Downey Woodpecker
Blue Jay
Hairy Woodpecker
Black-capped Chickadee
White-breasted Nuthatch
Red-bellied Woodpecker
