My backyard feeders were busy today with the usual WB-Nuthatches, male &
female Red-bellied Woodpeckers, Dark-eyed Juncos, Cardinals, Bluejays,
Starlings, House Sparrows, etc. I was startled when I checked the mail on
my front porch, and a Sharp-shinned Hawk was nestled just off the porch
eating a House Sparrow. It quickly flew away with its feast. Wish I knew,
for I could have filmed the entire event from a nearby window. At any
rate, I posted an amazing video of a "Sharpie" killing a European
Starling, taken by a woman who got the chance. Nature can be brutal Go to
CREATE A WILDLIFE FRIENDLY YARD at

HAWK DEVOURS".
