225 in my SW Ohio eight counties. I went over the excel chart again, so that should
Be accurate. Without trying this year. It was 244 when I did my SW Ohio big year
Last year. No Vesper for me this year, no Grasshopper Sparrow, no broad winged
Hawk! Etc. You do have to go after birds to keep the numbers up!
For Ohio this year 239. I just missed the top 100 by 1….. but I wasn't up north
That much, etc. 2021 was 268. I hit up north more. Trying to get state birds.
But if I’d known, I would have gone after Franklins gull and LBBG……
2022 was a lot of travel for me. Overseas. And 2023 will be a lot of travel too. That
Limits chasing here.
So what will the numbers be?? I am going to try for the January 100 also.
That could give me monthly birds - like that pacific is sticking. So far. But a lot
Of my time will be in Butler.
Here’s to a great birding 2023 everyone!
