We yielded to the call of the leaves today and spent the afternoon hiking
around the Ash Cave area. No notables, but once we got above the hubub of
the cave we found many of the usual suspects in small numbers: Carolina
chickadees (5-7 total at various spots), Downy woodpeckers (3-4), Eastern
blubird (2-3),WB nuthatch (3-5) Turkey vulture (several kettles of 3-5)
and heard the following: Northern Flicker, RB woodpecker (several) and a
possible Pileated woodpecker flyover. Such great weather - just a lovely
day!Sharon Hamersley Columbus Ohio
