I birded at Conneaut harbor this morning from 7:00 AM till 11:15 AM. There weren't any rarities found, but there were some good birds around. And it's always nice to feel the lake breeze there. Highlights were: 8 common mergansers, 2 black-bellied plovers, semipalmated plovers, sanderlings, Baird's sandpiper, pectoral sandpiper, spotted sandpiper, greater yellowlegs, Bonaparte's gulls, Caspian terns, 22 common terns, bald eagles, belted kingfisher, and merlin. On the way home I stopped at Dorset WA. The pond there had high water and no shorebird habitat. There was a bald eagle circling the pond. Craig Holt, Lowellville
