Stephen Bischoff found a Cattle Egret in among a small group of cows on West Case Rd. in Franklin Co. yesterday around 1:30. The bird was not present later in the afternoon. Believe me I searched; I even secured permission to enter private property (OSU) and scour the larger herd not visible from the street. Time to be checking favorite Cattle Egret locations to the north!
Stephen sent a photo to me last night. Nice find by one of our fine Ohio Young Birders.
