Hi everyone,
We had a good visit to Erie Street this morning. For those of you who don't
know it, it's a small green area in downtown Cleveland, usually quite good
in the migration seasons--no water, though.
Woodcocks--4 (plus one defunct one)
Song Sparrow—2
Fox Sparrow—1
Brown Thrasher—1
Hermit Thrush—1
Ruby-crowned Kinglet—2
Golden-crowned Kinglet-3
Brown Creeper—6
Downy Woodpecker—1
Northern Flicker—20+
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker—10
Eastern Phoebe—2
American Crow (fly-over)—2
Herring Gull (fly-over)—3
Plus (of course)
American Robin—30+
European Starling—30+
Dark-eyed Junco—30+
House Finch—4
House Sparrow—12
Mammals:
Fox Squirrel—4
Birders—12+
Maybe spring is really coming! Even the Bloodroot has finally bloomed in
the yard--a few weeks late...
Best wishes,
Steve
