After arising this AM to hear the Pine Siskins calling and seeing my first Towhee of the season ( male), I decided to abandon my household chores and enjoy the crisp morning. I called a friend and headed to La Due Reservoir. We had 3 species of grebes but lacked in ducks. Highlights were:

Bald Eagle- 1 mature
Buffleheads- 20+
Wood Ducks- 8
Redbreasted Merg-1
Horned Grebes- 7
Eared Grebe- 1 ( breeding plumage )
Pied-billed Grebe- 4
Coots- 40
Lesser Scaup- 10
Pine Siskins- 3
Purple Finch- 2
Blue Heron - 2

Lake Kelso- Nada

Punderson Lake- Hooded Mergs-4

Nice Day
Sally Isacco, Chardon
