After just missing the Cattle Egret at Caesar Creek last evening Bob Powell and I decided to try again this AM. We did not find the Egret but were surprised to see a lone
Willet sitting on a partly submerged log on what was the beach before the recent rain.
The bird was spooked by a dog and flew to the top of a mostly submerged sign in the lake where it remained when we left around 10:30. The lake is several feet higher than it was yesterday.

Stormy Weather Cheers, Larry Gara
