Am heading to edge of appalachia monday evening. Chuck and whip.
Andrew and Jen can hopefully join me. It's a long drive! At night coming
home. Any advice on exactly where to listen is welcome. I have looked
at ebird. Waggoner riffle rd. seems good. I am not after numbers here.
One each and off I go back home!

I did nightjar surveys in NJ years ago. Moon lit nights are best. No wind,
no clouds covering the moon. But like I said, I am not after numbers.
Just one each!

I will be there a few hours before dusk. Exploring. I was on a botany walk
this afternoon at Burnet. Hamilton county. I was surprised at what was
vocalizing in that afternoon heat. Hooded Warbler was very nice!

Good birding all.
