Is it too soon for pileated woodpeckers to be fledging? I saw two yesterday evening, and it sure seemed like one was following what appeared to be an adult, begging to be fed. I've seen this kind of behavior before in fledged birds, particularly hawks, but it seems pretty early for pileated woodpeckers.

Thanks for any help you can give.
