Greetings,

Bad news so far; there were a good number of skilled searchers looking for the Vermilion Flycatcher at Headlands this morning and for as long as I was there (7:20am-9:00am) the bird wasn't seen, and I haven't heard any favorable reports yet, Cheryl Harner just called a few minutes ago reporting a no show as well. There are lots of good birds there though, here is a list of the highlights:
Black-throated Blue Warb
Am. Redstart
Magnolia Warb
Blackpoll Warb
Ruby-crowned Kinglet-lots
Golden-crowned Kinglet -6+
Brown Creeper
Swamp Sparrow
Song Sparrow
White-Crowned Sparrows -3
White-throated Sparrows
D.E. Junco - 5
Winter Wren-3
Eastern Phoebe
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - 1
Virginia Rail - 1

Wake Robin Trail at Mentor marsh (at the base of Wake Robin St or Rd., I can't recall the directions well) had good sparrows, Lots of Swamp, Lincolns, Song, at least 4 Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrows, Marsh Wren, Sedge Wren, House Wren, etc.
?????? Good birding,
????????????????????????? - Ben Warner
