When I left a rehearsal in Cleveland’s University Circle at 10 PM, a Common Nighthawk was calling and circling above the CWRU campus buildings on Bellflower near Ford. I’ve heard a Nighthawk calling near this intersection every late spring and into the summer summer for years, and I’m happy to hear that familiar sound there once again. Many students were out, but only a few noticed the calls and looked up toward the night sky.
