I actually have been persuaded that these are legitimate vagrants. And not
Escapees. The hurricane. Adult and juvenile together. All the ones found
On the gulf coast. But why would these take off north? I am leaning toward
Vagrants still thought. They flew off when a dog walker ignored the cones.
Sigh….. as a friend and fellow birder said - dogs are smart, it’s the people
sometimes who aren’t ….. birders are out scouring reservoirs nearby. I'll do what I can to help Sat. I was going to hit butler early, but am so far behind on chores,
I'll get out by noon or so….. nothing like a good chase!

Good birding all. We all await the records committee vote.
