My office mate reported that a robin is "guarding" their bluebird box,
chasing off any interlopers. The bluebirds seem completely OK with this,
going in and out and feeding their 4 (or maybe 5) nestlings. She wondered
whether this is common. She also reported that the bluebirds are not
pleased when she is working in the garden near the box, and the robin
chimes in to let her know she's not welcome.
Good birding, Sharon
