And lots of them! This change in weather has stuff moving finally.
My favorite spot for sparrows at Conrey is the entry rd. In the morning
is best. The birds are all over the road edge. Still tough to get good
views at times though. They like to keep right at the edge of bin
range..... I half jokingly mentioned to Andrew and Jim C - who showed us
the place! Thank you! - that I will bring my scope next time and just set up in the
middle of the road! The road is closed to vehicles......

Jim took us around the field edges - showing us his favorite spots.
Andrew and I are going to enjoy exploring here! Because next year I work
on missing county birds. And botany.

Nothing new today for the big year. Stuck on 233! Needed possible
species - Purple Finch - they are moving! Scoters, marsh wren, clay colored
sparrow, cranes, swans - I have Mute. Ross's Goose. Etc. Etc. Etc.
240 should be doable. And I am learning a lot about SW Ohio.

But travel is coming up. Both my trip to Lake Erie. And I leave for the Darien
in Panama with Wings 11/27. I am running out of time for the big year! That
happens to me a lot...... I am easily beaten on these things!

ebird has trip reports! As in you can create them for current things being
done, and older checklists! This is exciting! I have been waiting! It's only
available to reviewers at present. And I think trip leaders. I have started
testing it. Eventually these reports will have a link that is accessible - or not
depending on ones privacy settings - that others can view the link. This
would have been perfect for my big year - except the time limit is 30 days.....

ebird is slowly adding features! I love it!

Nature notes - its cold. my first day out in awhile and no butterflies.

Good birding all.
