This the season for dueting Great Horned owls.  We heard “ours” for the first time this evening, calling from the hollow where they nested last year.  Looks promising that they will nest there again this year.  
    They certainly get an early start, and it was great to hear them again.  This all occurred in Perry County, just south of Somerset.
