Cabin fever set in so I drove to the spillway area below the dam by the disc course. The wind was not kind so I didn’t stay long but a large group (70+) of Canada Geese came in, a pleasant honking din before landing on the creek. A couple Golden-crowned Kinglets greeted me near the parking lot.

Mallards were the most prevalent but there were good numbers of gadwall as well. One pair of N Shovelers, one pair of hoodies. A couple female Red-breasted mergansers.

As I was retreating to my car, an adult Bald Eagle sailed over.

At my feeders in Granville, I enjoyed another cardinal extravaganza with at least 13 birds jostling for oil sunflower seeds. Nothing unusual made a visit even tho the feeders were pretty busy most of the day. A flock of starlings descended earlier in the day, helping themselves to suet and seed.
