One of the great horned owls nesting on our property in beautiful downtown Perry County was still on the nest this morning after the rather viscous storms that passed through here yesterday and last night.  With two inches of rain and high winds, I worry that they will hang in there.  It appears they have.  Still cannot see chicks, but think they are there, because the adult owl is sitting higher and higher in the nest.  When they nested there five years ago, I did not see chicks until late April.  
     Will keep the world, or at least Ohio, informed as to their well being and to the presence of any visible chicks.  Photo opps might occur, at least for local birders, and anyone named Liz and Luke.
