I checked out the boat ramp off of Sunbury Rd this afternoon for the reported Geese. There was a small group at some distance out on the reservoir but two close to shore that quickly disappeared from view.

After checking the dam area, I returned to the boat ramp just as a pair of Greater WF Geese flew in close for great views & photos. Then they decided to do some grazing, walking across the parking lot towards some nearby yards. Seemed almost tame and nonchalantly waddled past me barely 6’ away from me, softly honking. Quite a nice experience.

Thx for posting.

I forgot my scope but besides hundreds of Canada Geese, I saw Pintail, Canvasback, prob Ring-Neckeds, GW Teal and lots of mallards.

At the dam, I added gadwall and redhead. Likely other species at both locales by scope.
