I was at Wilderness Rd. in Wayne Co. this morning from 8:30-10am. I had it
all to myself until a few cars showed up as I was leaving. The shorebirds
did not disappoint. I saw 15 species, so I was very pleased.

The buff-breasted sandpipers continued there. Yesterday evening there was a
report of 25, but I think there were more like 8-10 this morning. They were
moving around quite a bit, so it was hard to get a count. About 9:15, a
peregrine falcon swept by and all the birds flushed, but eventually most
came back.

Aside from the buffies, the highlights were an Am. golden plover, that has
been there awhile, and a Wilson's phalarope in non-breeding plumage.
Several of those have been around the last week or so too. Three stilt
sandpipers were also a treat. My list follows. Randy Rowe, Wooster
