Seemed like there was a little bit more bird activity after the rain yesterday. The best find was an Olive-sided FC perched high on a snag showing well, A first for me for the reserve. Another new Denison bird today was a flyover DC Cormorant. I also saw two cooperative YB Cuckoos. BG Gnatcatcher.
I didn’t have much luck with warblers. I had a couple but I couldn’t get on them well enough for a definite ID because of the thick leaves.
White-eyed and Red-eyed Vireos including a White-eyed still feeding begging young. Catbirds, Cedar Waxwings & Towhees. A few flyover Tree Swallows. I also had a Kingfisher which I haven’t had for a while. Saw one green heron and heard Wood ducks and Peewees. A couple empids incl one that was a likely Yellow-bellied.
