Hi Folks,
The field at S. County Line Rd. & Fancher is proving to be quite the spot for local shorebird abundance. As of 9:00 this morning there were 100+ Pectoral Sandpipers working the flooded fields. There were a few Lesser & Greater Yellowlegs, but only in 2's & 3's. A few Bonaparte's Gulls and Mallards are hanging around as well. If you spend more time scanning I'm sure there is more here including blackbirds and Lapland Longspurs (found a female a few miles north of this area earlier in the week).
If you visit you'll need a scope and be very careful about where you pull off. This can be a very busy and dangerous crossroad area.
Good luck!
Casey Tucker
