After finally getting some pine siskins around my feeders here in Poland Twp., Mahoning Co. yesterday, I had medium hopes for more success today.  Siskins must still be moving around some, because 1 in the early morning grew to 16 by afternoon.  It was great to really be able to listen to them and study them at very close range.  Birds fed on the ground at times, which I didn't expect.  They also found some of the tall conifers out back.  I didn't get any redpolls here last winter until late in the irruption, maybe crossbills will show up more at scattered feeders later on this winter/early spring too.  Later, Craig
