Birding started a bit slow this morning with activity increasing around 9:15.
Hooded warblers
Ovenbirds
Black and white warblers
Black throated green warblers
Nashville warblers
Northern parulas
Yellow warblers
American redstarts
Northern waterthrush
Black throated blue warbler (heard)
yellow rumped warblers
Orange crowned warbler
Palm warbler
Blackburnian warbler
Scarlet tanagers (male and female)
Wood thrushes
Red breasted nuthatch
Rose breasted grosbeak
Great egret
Spotted sandpipers
Blue headed vireos
Ruby throated hummingbird
Hermit thrushes
Backyard: Calamity ! Our pine siskin was grabbed by a Cooper's hawk.
