Hi Folks,

It's November 1st and winter bird counting season is just around the
corner.

We've updated the directory of Audubon Christmas Bird Count dates and
contacts across the state, and have made them available as a pdf
download.

You can download the directory by visiting:
http://www.audubonohio.org/bsc/cbc.html

Special thanks to Ned Keller, who collaborated with me to update the
list this year.

You'll also be able to find CBC and Winter Bird Count dates at:
http://www.ohiobirds.org/calendar/winter_counts/winter.php

Once your winter birding appetite has been whet, another great
opportunity is the Winter Bird Atlas which will help birders gain a
better idea of wintering bird distributions across the state. You can
learn more about the Winter Bird Atlas by visiting:
http://www.bsbobird.org/winter-bird-atlas.html

May your fields be filled with longspurs and Snow Buntings, and your
feeders visited by grosbeaks and redpolls this winter!

Thanks,

Casey
