The pectoral sandpiper located yesterday by Jason Larson continues this morning. The bird is also being joined by two Killdeer and one American pipit. I also observed two Sandhill Crane nearby as well as a northern harrier coursing over the marshlands. The Killdeer are as usual a little bit sketchy so sometimes the pectoral sandpiper will take off and join them in flight, but it generally returns to the same area.
In addition, be very careful parking alongside the road. The traffic goes by pretty quickly and there is not good parking there.
